La Ciudad de Los Muchachos, a former boys school, is located in the Coserolla hills above Barcelona. The school opened in 1951 and closed less than 30 years later. Its history during these years is well documented.

This project focuses on the story of the site since its official closure as relayed through decaying walls, rubble and refuse. Although officially "empty", there are telltale signs of human intervention. Abandoned School investigates some of these physical changes in order to give voice to the ¨lost" years and set in motion a dialogue between current site users.
