Secret Life of Clothes comprises several different projects exploring the feelings, emotions, memories, impressions and responses that garments conjure up. Clothing and self adornment play a crucial part in the construction and communication of individual and cultural identity, and this body of work investigates biography through the medium of clothing, as well as the biography of clothes themselves. Individual projects capture the residual whispers of past lives and personalities inherent in clothing, working site specifically to effect connections between place, people and material manifestations of the self.
